We take sustainability incredibly seriously at COOK. As a founding member of the B-Corp community in the UK, we think business has a responsibility to put the future of our planet above short-term profits.
We’ve been working to reduce our use of single-use plastics at COOK both in our packaging and what’s behind the scenes in our shops, office and kitchens. Packaging options are recycling in Britain is developing all the time and we’re keeping a close eye on it. We think that a ‘closed loop’ for recyclable packaging is the best way forward, and we were the first company to trial of the 100% recyclable tray that we currently use.
Our ultimate aim is to leave everything that we have loaned from the planet in as good or a better condition than it was when we got it. Very easy to say, but not so easy to do … and only possible with the help of our customers. Do remember to rinse the tray before you put it in the recycling.
