We don't have separate areas for production of our Gluten Free meals, but we do take extensive measures to avoid cross contamination as part of our Food Safety Management System. Our internal processes and procedures make up this system and are regularly audited against internationally recognised ISO 22000 Food Safety Standards as well as visited by our local EHO.
Both of these auditing measures will test our systems to ensure we are conforming to all relevant UK/EU legislations and the ISO standards.
Our processes include:
10+ verified HACCP plans to ensure food safety and optimum hygiene in our kitchen areas;
Air filtration and positive air pressure to ensure dust particles (including flour) are kept to a minimum;
Validated cleaning programmes of all plant and equipment after every batch of food made;
External validation of all pre-requisites to our workflow, for example laundering of protective kitchen clothing, pest control and procurement of ingredients;
Supplier and ingredient approval systems and records (including allergen status);
Independent quarterly testing of GF recipes to validate ppm (parts per million) - results are consistently less than 5PPM.
